About Our Ochre Thistle Collection

There's a quiet comfort in a bed that feels properly put together—one that rewards you with refreshing, natural airflow at night and soft, sunlit color by day.

What you're getting. Every piece in this collection carries the same wildflower print at the same scale, cut from the same cloth—duvet covers, comforters, sheet sets, pillowcases and bed skirts that all match. The collection is woven throughout from premium 40-count cotton at a 200 thread count, with no variation between items: whichever pieces you combine, the print, hand, weight and finish stay consistent. Duvet cover sets include one cover and two matching pillowcases.

A printed ground, not a plain one. Look closely and the cream base isn't flat. It carries a fine scatter of pale, dry-brush flecks printed across the whole surface—a texture layer that sits beneath the flowers and reads, from a normal distance, as the soft slub of natural linen. This is what keeps a smooth cotton weave from looking papery under the botanicals, and it's the reason the fabric photographs with depth rather than as a flat sheet of colour. It's printed, not woven, and it's deliberate.

Hand-drawn stems on a warm ground. The botanicals are drawn as complete sprigs—slim teal-green stems and needle-fine leaves carrying clusters of coral berries, deep raspberry buds, and small dusty florets—rendered with visible brushwork rather than flat fill. The palette is muted throughout: no bright red, no true green. Against the warm cream ground it reads as a pressed-flower study, closer to a botanical plate than to a decorative floral, which is what lets it work in a grown-up bedroom as easily as a cottagecore one.

Zero shifting, hidden zipper, and envelope pillowcase. We design for the friction of real sleep. The interior corners of our duvet covers feature heavy-duty structural ties, anchoring your insert securely to prevent midnight bunching, sagging, or hollow corners. The bottom is finished with a seamless hidden zipper closure, hidden deeply beneath a protective fabric flap so metal hardware never touches your bare skin. To match this polished finish, our pillow shams utilize an envelope closure system with a generous overlap—completely hiding your white pillow inserts from view without relying on easily broken zippers.

Colorfast botanical prints. Because we preserve our natural cotton threads without heavy, harsh chemical fixing agents, a slight release of surface pigment (floating color) is perfectly normal during the very first wash. Both the botanicals and the textured ground are bonded deep into the core of the cotton threads. Because we choose this high-precision method over cheap surface-ink stamping, the printed fabric retains its natural porosity, allows your skin to breathe, and remains highly colorfast—staying beautifully vibrant wash after wash.

Sizing & care. Available in Twin, Full, Queen and King dimensions to beautifully wrap your inserts. Because we preserve our cotton in its pristine state, the fibers arrive with their natural integrity and will experience a minor relaxation during the very first wash. To care for the set, simply machine wash cold separately, then tumble dry on low. They will naturally soften, gain a gorgeous relaxed ripple, and improve with every single laundry cycle. Frequently Asked

Curated questions, thoughtful answers.

A quiet guide to the things our customers ask most — from the weave of our linen and cotton to the way your parcel finds its way home.

Textured, and that's the point of this print. The dry-brush layer under the botanicals is what stops the fabric looking papery and gives it depth in daylight.

"Crisp" sells a lot of cotton that turns out to feel like paper. Ours sits toward the soft end—light and matte rather than stiff or glazed. It arrives with a little body from the weave itself, which relaxes over the first two or three washes. We don't apply softening coatings to fake a soft first impression, because those wash out and leave the fabric feeling worse by week three than it did on day one.

We use natural cotton ties woven to cleanly grip your duvet insert loops. Like any natural fiber element under tension, they can experience strain if the insert is pulled aggressively or if they are tied into tight, non-reversible knots. To prolong their lifespan and keep them intact, we highly recommend tying them in a gentle, easy-to-release bow rather than a dead knot, and untying them completely prior to laundering to avoid high-friction pulling in the wash drum.

A warped, rippling zipper is usually caused by sewing a heavy zipper directly onto a flimsy, single-layer edge. We prevent this by sewing our smooth-glide nylon zippers onto a reinforced, double-layered placket. This prevents the fabric from puckering or jamming in the wash. Furthermore, the zipper track is recessed deeper than standard covers, ensuring it stays fully hidden and protected from catching on other clothes in the laundry drum.

A zipper closure on a pillow sham often creates a stiff, rigid edge that digs into your face or catches on your hair. Our shams use an envelope closure, meaning the back of the sham consists of overlapping fabric panels with a deep interior pocket. To case your pillow, you simply slide it in and tuck it under the flap. It keeps the pillow 100% enclosed, completely hides the white pillow casing, and leaves you with an entirely soft, seamless, and zipper-free surface to rest your head.

Because we preserve our natural cotton threads without heavy, harsh chemical fixing agents, a slight release of surface pigment (floating color) is perfectly normal during the very first wash. To keep the botanical motifs looking their best, you must treat them with care: always wash cold on a gentle cycle, separate them entirely from darks or whites, and avoid harsh detergents. Embracing these natural, delicate prints means enjoying a bed that feels purely organic, even if it requires a little extra attention on laundry day.
